Dermapen Microneedling
Dermapen is the worlds leading microneedling device; it takes skin needling to a new more advanced level using needle depths from 0.2mm to 2mm. Giving our aesthetic therapists greater control over intensive needling treatments while reducing any discomfort. Dermapen 3 is a quick and comfortable treatment that is less traumatic than other medical needling systems with faster recovery and results.
Microneedling causes tiny punctures in the skin from small needles in the Dermapen device. These small contact points trigger a healing response from the body to renew skin cells. As your skin is repairing collagen and elastin is also triggered to give a plumping result. It is used for acne scarring, skin texture, lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, sun damage and pigmentation. The Dermapen system is used by our aesthetic therapists who can control treatment intensity to tailor treatment to your needs. A solution containing hyaluronic acid and vitamins is applied to the skin to allow the needles to glide effortlessly while also penetrating through the channels made from the system to allow for more enhanced treatment results. Following treatment clients must be aware that skin will look reddened and experience mild sunburn like symptoms for around 1-3 days, Skin will also feel tighter and dryness can occur around days 3-7.

How does it work?
As we get older the body begins to slow down production of collagen and elastin, by using the needling system it boost the production of new collagen resulting in firmer, plumper skin. It takes around 4-6 weeks for new collagen to be made, but the benefit will be seen straight away.
